About Claire Baker

Claire Baker holds a Master’s degree in Medicinal Chemistry, studying topics including pain and inflammation, cancer and cardiovascular disease. Her research focused on ‘Current Developments and Future Prospects for the Design and Use of Antibody Drug Conjugates in the Treatment of Cancer.’

Claire currently works for a biotechnology company as a project leader developing high affinity monoclonal antibodies for use in clinical diagnostics and drug testing.

Claire also has a keen interest in British Wildlife and regularly volunteers for a charity to help protect Britain’s native species. This has included caring for sick and injured animals, dressing up as a fox to increase public awareness and swimming the distance between Wales and Ireland in the pool (just short of 100km) to raise much needed funds.
